Sleepless in Campbell

How I Discovered the Office Rockstar Playbook Book Title

Once I decided and started on my journey to write my book, I was not thinking about the book title.  I was more focused on writing content.

I soon realized that I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that this would be “my” book. That just wasn’t authentic to me (yet). I decided to make the book “real,”; I would have to have a title–one that was unique and represented me.

I did quite a bit of research.  I googled, checked out Pinterest, went to Amazon.com, asked friends and family, and looked at what my peers had done with their books’ titles. Believe me, there are a lot of book titles out there in the administrative world, and I was inundated, and my head was swimming.

Nothing I was seeing was speaking to me.

I needed to bring my “labor of love” and the overall concepts I shared within its pages to life.

I am a pretty good sleeper most nights; however, during this time, one particular night, I couldn’t get to sleep at all!  My mind kept tossing and turning in terms of titles.

I kept looking at the clock in disbelief!  It was 2 AM, then it was 3 AM, and then 5 AM.  I had not slept one wink!

Suddenly, as the sun began to creep into my room, it came to me.

Office Rockstar Playbook!  That’s it! That would be my book title. That is how my book was officially named.

I truly believe in divine intervention and that when we put something out into the universe, we ultimately receive the answers we seek.

The universe heard me and gave me the title! Thank you to the higher powers that be; I was no longer Sleepless in Campbell.

Keep Rocking On!
